How to Fix – No Bootable Device Error in Acer Laptop?

Hello guys. I’m going to write about a weird and terrifying issue that I have confronted with my laptop today (hope this will assist somebody).

Suddenly my laptop switched off while I was working. I believed that was because my battery was empty. I turned it on again and saw that scary message saying –

No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot the machine_

no boot device

And after restarting I got this error…..

no boot device

Fortunately, I discovered some simple solutions to solve it.

Here’s what you need to do if you get this error.

1. Press the power key of your laptop.

2. When you see “acer” logo coming on the screen, press F2 or Del key.

3. It will take you to the bios screen. Now, from the bios settings, change your boot method from UEFI to Legacy.

(If you are lucky, you will have this option).

4. Press F10 to save and exit bios. Now your laptop will boot normally.

That’s it, guys. This is the technique which worked for me.

This may not work for some individuals because, like hard disk failure, this could occur for any reason. If your hard disk is damaged, it will obviously not solve this error but you can always attempt it.

I also found that disconnecting and reconnecting the hard disk cable and changing the boot sequence also worked for some people.

Please let me know if this helped you. Don’t forget to mention any other methods you know in the comments below.
